Writer Park lives by writing day by day. One day, he stumbles upon a woman, Hae-joo, who collapsed on the street while taking a walk in the early morning. Hae-joo asks Park to take her home, saying she needs a place to rest. He kindly gives up his studio for a stranger. He begins his secret and cheeky story.

"Agony" dealt with viewers problems. Some wonderful examples were "I can't have sex unless the family dog is in the room" and "I'm Stuffing the Turkey, He's Stuffing the Neighbour". The show was made by low budget TV station L!VE TV. Each "letter" (usually made up in a rush by some poor L!VE hack) would be dramatised and then discussed by the studio presenter and two agony aunts. The show also used bubble thoughts, an on-screen device to reveal what the character was actually thinking, although normally it was just a way to get away with crude jokes about sausages and "you came quickly". A damn good way to waste a half hour.

A discontented New York family woman is unexpectedly called to Tuscany to execute her estranged mother's will. There, she must decipher visions of her forgotten childhood and confront a spectral "Lady in Red," whose dark secret unlocks a terrifying destiny.

Through a series of family snapshots, we are introduced to a family. The accompanying captions comment on everyday scenes featuring uncles, aunts and in-laws.

Hae-joo continues Dong-woo's story to writer Park. Dong-woo keeps calling men on weekends then one day, a man nicknamed uncle comes to Hae-joo. And Dong-woo and uncle got into a secret relationship with Hae-joo. Park, who listened to Hae-joo's story, gave Hae-joo a massage, and Park began to take over Hae-joo's body.
